Why New Jersey?

The New Jersey Institute of Successful Aging at UMDNJ-School of Osteopathic Medicine is in the heart of Southern New Jersey in Stratford. Although it is located only 1.5 hours away from New York and 2.5 hours away from Washington DC, there is never a loss of things to do, see, and learn locally.

NJ History  

Its central location made New Jersey the "Crossroads of the Revolution" and a major route on the Underground Railroad. For more on New Jersey 's important historical sites, visit:

Philadelphia and Surrounding Areas

Philadelphia is only a short 30 minute ride away from Stratford, NJ. Also known as the "City of Brotherly Love", it served as the first capitol city of the United States (1790-1800). An important center for performing arts, Philadelphia is home to theaters, symphony orchestras, dance companies, and more.
