Vision

The NJISA will be the premier provider of geriatric care, education, research, and public policy in aging, attracting a cadre of skilled clinicians, educators, and scientists who will set the standards for geriatric medicine, develop state- of-the-art educational programs, conduct cutting-edge research, and advocate to improve the lives of older people in New Jersey and beyond.

 

 

Mission

  • The NJISA will promote successful aging and improve the quality of life of older adults and their families by:
  • providing a network of comprehensive care and quality clinical geriatric services that respond to cultural differences;
  • maintaining a national standing as one of the preeminent interdisciplinary geriatric education programs in the country;
  • demonstrating leadership in aging research;
  • disseminating information to the public about successful aging; and
  • positively influencing geriatric health care policy and standards.
