The NJISA is committed to providing timely and accurate information to the public about health care interventions, aging-related health issues, chronic illness, alternatives to institutionalization, and a variety of health and social service programs. Keeping older adults and their caregivers well-informed about health care issues is important in empowering them to take responsibility for their own health care.Community

A variety of community-based educational programs, health fairs, a Lunch 'N Learn series, and other special projects about strategies for health and wellness are offered for older individuals both locally and in selected areas statewide. These programs are advertised in local media markets to increase awareness and inform area seniors about their availability.
