Panel Access
Controls exist to prevent
ORANJ BOWL panel members
from being over-studied.
Therefore, it may not be
possible to accommodate
the needs of all investigators
wishing to use the ORANJ
BOWL for data collection
services at any given time.
Generally speaking, however,
and under the assumption
that panel member contact
frequency rules would not
be violated, access to the
panel is granted on a first-come-first-served
basis. Still, there are
additional rules:
* A written research protocol
proposal must be prepared
by all investigators and
this proposal must pass
the scrutiny of the Institutional
Review Board (IRB), a panel
of scientists and lay people
that reviews research with
human subjects, at the University
of Medicine & Dentistry
of New Jersey.
* ORANJ BOWL’s commercial
organization sponsors are
guaranteed to be offered
access to panel data collection
services for 500 interviews
annually.
* If foreseeable demand
for IRB-approved panel access
exceeds sample availability
and/or capacity of the NJISA
Research Call Center to
provide data collection
services, the ORANJ BOWL
Advisory Board will convene
to decide the priority order
in which projects may be
accepted.**

Aging of the Unversity of
